Waiting for life to start

Mother and I have always had a difficult relationship..
I was wild and rebellious and she wanted perfect children who wouldnt embarrass her ..
that was so not me :)

as i turned into an old woman we began to get more things in common , and i realized that I got all my crazy ways from this old woman ..
i am my mother ..
just the newer version of Betty ..and with a tad bit less discipline ..
But the quirkiness and odd sense of humor is all her ..

Now she likes that im the way i am ..she likes that im a free spirit and you never know what I'm gonna do from one minute to the next ..
She also loves knowing that I will do anything for her.
I would drop everything to get to her when she needs me .
And my mommy is going to really need me in the coming months .

God have mercy on my mommy ..she's been such a great woman.
